Dartmouth Striped Necktie
We invite you to fall in love with our Dartmouth Striped Necktie, a uniquely colored tie with British regimental stripes.
In this historically rich tie style, the stripes slant downward from left to right.
The History of British Regimental Striped Ties
British regimental striped ties are considered to be one of the original styles of men’s neckties, with varying colors that represent membership in the British military regiments. They’ve been in continuous use since the 1920s or 1880s.
In the countries of the British Commonwealth, a necktie’s stripes run from a person’s left shoulder (their heart) down to their sword (their right waist). Also, the stripes run in the exact same direction as the rifles that British soldiers strap over their shoulders.
The Dartmouth Striped Necktie pairs beautifully with a light green, blue, grey, or white shirt, and is versatile enough to wear for most occasions.
This necktie is made on Italian weavers of 100 percent silk with a 100 percent wool interlining.
The wool interlining gives this tie weight, shape, and bulk.
Quality and Durability
The Dartmouth Striped Necktie is an easy maintenance tie made of sturdy fabric. The loosely sewn slip stitch prevents breakage caused by repeated knotting.
This tie is 60 inches long by 2.3 inches wide.
Please note that sizing information is for reference only. A necktie should stop at your belt when it’s knotted. We suggest measuring yourself to ensure that you’re getting a tie that fits you perfectly.
The Dartmouth Striped Necktie has a background that is woven of jade green, black, and white threads that give the final look a beautiful green appearance. It has royal blue narrow stripes.
For this necktie, we recommend dry clean only.
To iron your tie, iron it on the backside with an iron set on low temperature.
